Dr. Bana Ball is a board certified pediatric dentist. She completed her residency training in pediatric dentistry at the University of Maryland and served as Chief Resident in her final year. After attending Centre College on a full academic scholarship and graduating summa cum laude, she received her dental degree with honors from the University of Pennsylvania in 2010, graduating at the top of her class. She worked as a general dentist for a few years after dental school, and it was during this time that she realized her passion for working with children. As part of Dr. Ball’s residency training, she co-wrote the Guidelines on Restorative Dentistry for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, based on an extensive evidence-based review of the dental literature. Dr. Ball is on staff at Sinai Hospital and Greater Baltimore Medical Center, providing dental care to children who require general anesthesia.
In her free time, Dr. Ball loves spending time with her husband Mark, a urologic oncologist at the NIH, and their two young children, Nikou and Nila. The family also has two mischievous cats, Pumpkin and Pepper, and a pet turtle named Marie. Dr. Ball is a comedy enthusiast, a crossword and jigsaw puzzle fan, an adventure traveler, and an aspiring yogi.
